Teaching
In addition to teaching several tutorials on quantitative methods in Political Science during my B.A. and M.A., I independently designed and taught the following course:
Applications of Quantitative Methods in R (Winter Term 2025/26)
Content
Statistical methods dominate large parts of empirical political science research. This course aims to provide bachelor's students with both a deeper understanding of these quantitative methods and knowledge of how to implement them using the statistical software R. Building on the knowledge acquired in the previous methods lectures, various extensions (including categorical dependent variables, control variables, non-linear effects, and causality) will be explored in greater depth. In addition to applying these topics in R, the course will focus in particular on data management and preparation, suitable R workflows, and the presentation and visualization of results. This course is particularly interesting for students who want to work with R in their bachelor's thesis (or later in their master's thesis).
